Why Visit Pembrokeshire in Autumn 2023? Haverfordwest!
đ Why visit Pembrokeshire this Autumn?
Haverfordwest
đ´ó §ó ˘ó ˇó Źó łó ż Haverfordwest (or Harford as the locals call it) is the county town of Pembrokeshire. It was established almost 1000 years ago and you might have heard about it in the news because of the now complete archaeological dig at the old Ocky White building. Here's a few more things about the town you might not know.
đ° Go for wander and see the Castle atop the hill (originally built around 1120, however the majority of the structure is from the 12th century), then pop down Quay Street and follow the river to see the ruins of the Priory.
đď¸ Challenge the family and burn some rubber at West Wales Karting's indoor go kart track. Or bounce out the energy at Hangar 5's indoor trampoline park and soft play!
đ´ There are a lot of great places to eat or take a rest with a lovely hot drink and a snack in Haverfordwest, but we've heard that Block&Barrel is the place to go for a delicious steak.
đŚ Feeling the need for fluff? Take a 15 minute drive outside of town and visit Sweet Home Alpaca where you can get up close in a meet and greet or an alpaca walk.
đ Haverfordwest is accessible via the train station and is the hub for most bus services including the Pembrokeshire Fflecsi Bus Scheme.
