Why Visit Pembrokeshire in Spring 2023? Haverfordwest!

🌷 Why visit Pembrokeshire this Spring?

Haverfordwest

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Haverfordwest is the county town of Pembrokeshire. It was established almost 1000 years ago and you might have heard about it in the news because of the ongoing archaeological dig at the old Ocky White building. Here's a few more things about the town you might not know.

🏰 Go for wander and see the Castle atop the hill (originally built around 1120 however the majority of the structure is from the 12th century), then pop down Quay Street and follow the river to see the ruins of the Priory.

🍴 There are a lot of great places to eat or take a rest with a lovely drink and a snack in Haverfordwest (or Harford as the locals call it), but we've heard The Bristol Trader - down Qua Street - is a great place for some lovely pub grub, and you have a gorgeous view of the river!

🍫 Visit the family run Wickedly Welsh Chocolate Factory and see how their delicious chocolates are made, or get stuck in to the interactive experience! Don't forget to stop in at the café and chocolate deli afterwards for an incredible hot chocolate ☕️

🚆 Haverfordwest is accessible via the train station.
